It's not gonna cause the game to be slowed down because it's loading a zip file is it?

No. The zip decompressor is fast enough for real time decompression. Quake 3 and Doom 4's engines also use zips and they have considerably more data.

Ah yeah. Forgot that Quake 3's PK3 files is just a renamed version of the zip file.

If they ever do make a doom 4, it better ont be a piece of crap that doom 3 was. Loved the graphics and concepts...hated the half-life on steroids.

1 is strange but it isn't the first command line error reported by you so I have to suspect a problem at your end.
